Multiple LUNS on Mandrake 10
 

I have Mandrake 10 with most recent updates and an Adaptec 2940UW SCSI adapter with only the Microtek Scanmaker III attached to it.

When I cat /proc/scsi/scsi, I get 63 multiple LUNS listed for the scanner. I have tried appending lilo with max_scan_luns=1 and then run lilo but I continue to get multiple LUNS.

The scanner works fine but the problem is another scanner I have connected via Firewire, the Nikon LS8000. cat /proc/scsi/scsi recognizes this scanner and places it at the bottom of the list. When I try to use Vuescan, all I see is a list of 30 Scanmaker III's and the LS8000 is not available.

It would be more productive to have each scanner listed but once.

What have I overlooked? Suggestions and help are welcome.
