Question MSI Vox USB TV Tuner (saa7114) modprobes but no devfs entries show?

Greetings,

Im trying to setup an MSI Vox USB 2.0 TV Tuner based on the saa7114 philips chipset.
Ive got it modprob'ing saa7114 fine, and dmesg shows it up as being plugged in.. Hotplug doesnt seem to do much..

However, there's no devfs entries in /dev for me to use the card.

Any ideas on where-to from here??

Running kernel-2.6.7-r8 on Gentoo 2004.1

Many thanks

Chill.

Ive still got my MSI Vox USB2.0 TV Tuner, but rarely use it (Mostly because I dont have Windows and couldnt get it working).

I did manage to:
cd /usr/src/linux/drivers/media/video/ && make saa7114.c
Comes out fine. I believe this is what I want to do to manually make the driver, correct?

Ive since played around with it a bit, but have slowed with my attempts due to lack of community interest in the Device.

If anybody else is able to assist, that would be much appreciated

Cheers

Chill.
