MS intellieye wheel mouse on Mandrake 8.2

First I'll start out my saying that im a complete Linux Novice.

I have recentally installed a copy of Mandrake 8.2 as a dual boot with win 2000. Im trying to use my Microsoft USB Intellieye Wheel mouse and seem to be having some odd results.

The mouse is installed and works with one oddity, the coursor stays in the top left corner of the screen.

I can move the mouse and click the buttons, and it works - its just the pointer stays in one spot and the actual possition is elseware.

I can see it hi-light buttons and such and click on them and they work fine.

Also, I have lost the adapter that came with the mouse so I cant use PS2.

Any help that anyone can provide would be much appreciated - please email me with any help you can provide.

Thanks in advace;

Damo
