MP3player/recorder USB Flashdisk as boot (eg SLAX dyne:bolic or knoppix )

I've looked at MSI (mega stick) and Creative's (zen nano) 1GB USB Mp3 Player/recorders.

on the MSI FAQ, it says that although it can be used as a Flashdisk without a battery, it cannot be used for boot, because of "hardware limitation".

has anyone got their MSI megastick or other flashdisks to boot with SLAX or any other OS?

 :study:

. on the FAQ it says that the megastick can be used without battery, thus like any other flashdisk.
. on the FAQ it says the megastick cannot be used as bootdrive due to "hardware limitation"

Which opperating systems have you tested this with?
Specifically i'll be looking to boot with Linux (SLAX, and also possably dyne:bolic, Knoppix or other live os)

Has this been tested with many systems?

What other ways around "hardware limitations" have you explored?

I really like what i've read about the MSI 1GB megastick, but i am unwilling to buy if it cannot be used as a live OS boot drive.

go to http://iso.linuxquestions.org/ to download the opperating systems i mentioned if you have not already tried them out.
