Mouse trouble in 2.6.10


I have just compiled kernel 2.6.10 and configured /etc/xorg.conf and tried PS/2 and IMPS/2

The mouse isn't working propertly, i have tried both USB and PS/2 and both are not working propertly.... I have microsoft Intelli Explorer 3.0....

Did you enable USB support in the kernel? Are you using /dev/mouse or /dev/input/mice? If /dev/mouse -- does the symlink exist?

You can also test the mouse by doing the following:

cat /dev/input/mice and move your mouse around, you should see characters display on the screen if the device is working

Yes, USB are enabled. I have tested with explorerPS/2 in xorg.conf too....
