mouse trouble

hi, I got a logitech mouse ( wireless but not optical).
It worked fine till I entered Linux this morning and it was only going up and down ....not working properly....It is in windows though.
Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Suggest you post exact model of mouse and your /etc/X11/XF86Config file, in order to receive constructive advice.
