Mouse Speed

How do I set my mouse speed? I've running Slackware 12 and fluxbox as the window manager.

I've tried xset, but no matter what settings I use it doesn't change a thing. For example, xset m 1/2 1 is the same as xset m 5 1.

I've also tried setting:

Code:
        Option "MaxSpeed" "0.18"
        Option "AccelFactor" "0.0010"
        Option "Resolution" "200
However, the speed is always the same. The mouse is using the evdev driver. Here's the whole configuration:

Code:
Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "LogitechLX7"
        Driver "evdev"
        Option "Name" "Logitech USB RECEIVER"
        Option "SendCoreEvents"
        Option "Buttons" "9"
        Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
        Option "MinSpeed" "0.10"
        Option "MaxSpeed" "0.18"
        Option "AccelFactor" "0.0010"
        Option "Resolution" "200"
EndSection
Any ideas? Any other way to configure the mouse speed? It's just way too fast for my liking .

Thanks for the reply.

xset 1/3 1 doesn't change the speed at all. It does the same thing as when I do xset 1/2 1 or xset 5 1. The speed is the same no matter what I tell xset to use.
