Distro: OpenSUSE 10.3 (x86-64)
Mouse: a PS/2 Optical 3-button mouse W/scrollwheel
I have this really weird problem with my mouse in first person shooters.
Every so often while I'm in a first person shooter my mouse will randomly move and/or click for like 3-10 seconds. While in OpenArena when this happens I'll get several messages that say something like: "auxX unboud use control settings to set" where the X in auxX is 1 or 0. I've looked in the control settings and determined that this is not the problem as it does this in Sauerbraten, WOP, and Quake III.
Perhaps the problem could be between the game engines (they all may use the same 3D rendering system, like Crystal Space), and your rat. Try another rodent and see if that clears it up. For me, my problem is clearly with that game. .kkrieger and Unreal are both smooth as ailk.

Yeah, that fixed it. I guess those kinds of games don't like optical mice.
