Mouse Problem - SHould be easy to fix!

Well, I have a problem with the mouse and linux, or maybe linux is suppose to be like that. I really don't know. The thing is, I have a Labtec Optical Mouse. Worth about 20$ USD. In windows, it moves perfectly fine! In linux, it's not quite the same. If the mouse is stationary and i was to move it like 1 - 3 pixels, it wont even move as i slowly glide the mouse on my desk! On windows, it's the opposite. It'll move the Cursor for every mm i move the mouse. And the mouse is working perfectly because i see it light up as i slowly move it, but on the screen, the cursor wont move :S! Any suggestions? ONE MORE THING, the acceleration is kinda stupid, is there a primary speed setting. Kuz i dont want the mouse to accelerate as i move, i want it to be fast in general!

Hmm, now That is a strange :Pengy: problem, cuz I have (I hate to admit that I actually "have" supported Mr. Gates..) :p
a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical USB mouse, and that baby works just fine.. The wheel, buttons 4 and 5, everything...
:D

You know, if linux had more user friendlyness, every1 would switch. Obviously you'd have to know what the options do in order to use them. But having atleast a list of the possible options would be nice because i never knew you could set the Mouse Resolution. And that's what my problem was :P! I set the mouse resolution as high as my mouse supports and now it works!
