Mouse problem help me please

Ok. I'm new on this forum.

This is my problem.
My pointer stay on top left of my screen, I can use my mouse but it's invicible... I can do some right click, and some left click anywhere, the problem is that I can see where I'm going.
I don't know if the problem is my display or the mouse.

My Display Adater is a MSI GeForce4 MX-440 64 meg with tv/out.
My mouse is a Logitech Optical Mouse
Model Number: M-BJ58
Product Number: 830524-0000
Serial Number: LNA13602052

I'm not sure to use the aproprited drivers for both of it.

Help me please. If you need to see some of my configurations file ask me.

Have you tried other settings for your mouse? Open a terminal, using the tab and enter keys. Then su to root, and then type mousedrake. Try each one in turn, log out and then restart the X-session. Hopefully you will find one that works.

In that case, have you downloaded the Nvidia drivers from their web site and installed them? You will also need to edit your /etc/X11/xf86config-4 file, but there are literally dozens of threads on that topic.

You were right "carlywarly"!

First thing to do is
Download the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run from http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...6-1.0-4363.run

then go to the folder where you download it and type
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run

After you got to edit(vi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4) the XF86Config-4 and replace this(INSERT key to make some change)

Driver "nv"
(or Driver "vesa")

with

Driver "nvidia"

In the Module section, make sure you have:

Load "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:

Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"
(copy pasted from the README at Driver "nv"
(or Driver "vesa")

with

Driver "nvidia"

In the Module section, make sure you have:

Load "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:

Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"
After doing the change do

Esc
:wq! #to save and quit
Then restart the Xserver by using startx

This is how I solve the problem. But I notice when I go back to a tty shell by going Ctrl+Atl+# the screen have some trouble to refresh it.
