I installed Mandrake 9.0 today. There are two problems encountered: with a Geforce4 MX440 (64MB) and a Samsung SyncMaster 753s, I could not get higher resolution than 800x600 under xwindows. Worse, my mouse (standard wheeled PS/2 BTC, also tried Logitech PS/2 as well with a connector PS/2 to serial) does work at the install, but did not move when testing xwindows (nor when running it later, while everything seemed alright). So I tried two mouses and several settings. What could be the problem? On my old computer I always run mouses (up to Mandrake 8.2) without dificulties.

Maybe I should add that under install, the mouse could be well configured and tested. It is only in the test of xwindows that the cursor is pinned in the upper left corner, just changing from arrow to cross when the mouse is moved: so I can't really answer yes or no to the question does it work correctly. I'm not sure it's relevant, but my mainboard is ECS K7S6a. Maybe earlier mandrake versions have the same problem with this hardware, Mandrake 9.0 is the only one I tried.
