mouse not functioning anymore..

I just installed mandrake 9 on my system.

my system runs win2k with VMware running mandrake 9.

I had no problems at first, but I changed the mouse from a standard mouse, to a MS explorer mouse within KDE, now I cant get the mouse to work in the KDE/mandrake side.

its ! hardware, cause the win2k works fine...

any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

there has to be a way top like have it re-detect the mouse. and if there is, what are they keyboard short cuts, or command line to do so...

try mouseconfig

and maybe you will need to change it in XF86Config-4 to IMPS/2

that is exactly what it was, thank you, i had to play around with the mouse stuff for a while to find the correct settings, bhut it was exactly that.
