Mouse interrupting keyboard events, can't type while mouse is moving

My mouse is interrupting my keyboard events.

For example if I type ssssssssssssssss and move the mouse during it, the typing stops until the mouse is stopped moving - and then the ssss continues.

This just started today with no reason; I haven't done anything new....running Fedora Core 9 64.
