mouse + cpu temperature warnining in bios
i discovered very strange thing happening on 2.6 kernels (never tried 2.4) :
when i disable CPU temperature warning and CPU fan warning in BIOS my PS/2 mouse isn't detected on boot - i have to unplug and replug it and it works :) with those warnings set to ON - mouse warks always my mouse is a standard logitech opticar ps/2 mouse my motherboard is Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000-G (865,IC5 chipsets) i wanted tu switch off those warnings because when i try to monitor by lm_sensors my cpu temp and fan i get buzz alarm in pc speaker although none of the values is out of range anybody experiencing similar problems? |
You could try keeping the warnings on, but set new limits for lm_sensors in /etc/sensors.conf (and then running `sensors -s`) so that you're no longer out of what it thinks is the range?

Yes i know, i've already tried that but even though the values dont' exceed the range i put (no alarm text displayed) i still got a buzz in pc speaker
