Question Mouse chokes on *everything* internet related and more

SuSE 8.2 Personal edition, lets say I'm in Konqueor, Mozilla or Firebird, I've got a page downloading, while it's downloading the mouse chokes hard. Jumps around very badly.

Same is true if I'm trying to play an mp3 in xmms...

I've got an Athalon 1800 with an nforce mobo, I've installed the latest nforce drivers without incident, didn't fix it...

I've got DMA turned on, that wasn't it either.

I'm stumped. Any and all clues welcome.

Welcome to LQ

I'm going to move this to hardware, but wanna jump in with some questions to prep the hardware folks with

What kind of connection is it? What kind of modem/NIC? How is your mouse connected? Where is your modem located if you have one? Have you tried other configs like moving to a different PCI slot/COM slot?

Anything significant about controller cards (RAID..) or related?
