Unhappy Mouse and Sound on DEBIAN, plz HELP!

Hi all,
i have two big problems on Debian:

1) Mouse
Mouse in KDE and Gnome works fine BUT after 15-45mins it freezes and works only keyboard (( Any suggestions how to fix it? I have Genius Optical NetScroll+ Eye PS/2 (xwindows are configured for PS/2 mouse).
(I this problem were on FreeBSD too)

2) Sound
I have ForteMedia Quad X-Treme 256 soundcard and i can not get it to work.. how i can install it?
