Mounting USB Camera

I have a Kodak DX4330 and the problem i have is that i can only access my digital camera only when i am logged in as root. When i am logged in as user i get an error saying that couldn't initialize device. I think is because only root can mount usb devices.
So my question is how can i mount my digital camera on request when i am logged in as user.
BTW How do i find in which port my camera is connected?(sda1, sda2...)

Moving to Linux - Hardware

If you can access it as root, you probably wanna add the lines you mount it with from there, but add in the options section:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 vfat users,defaults 0 0

Or something like that, mainly just wanted to show you where the options section was, and the 'users' option I was referring to, the rest is just example.
