mounting ntfs file system on Redhat Linux 8.0
hi all
i am new to the forum and am also a linux newbie i've been trying to mount all my windows drive, and have achieve so with fat partitions. is there any way to mount ntfs filesystems? red hat 8.0 doesn't seem to support it. i installed the linux server version. thanx j |
This is mentioned quite often on this site. A search will find more detailed answers but most likely the kernel isn't compiled with NTFS support, hence why you can't mount and read from it at this time.

I have founded this page http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/ where they offer a kernel for Red Hat 8 with support for NTFS. I didn'd try it yet
