Thumbs down mounting in red hat

hi I am using Red hat 5.0 .. I am not able to use my usb stick and copy data to my hard disk ...

could you help me ...!!

I am new to the Linux environment..!!

make a folder with mkdir filename

then do fdisk -l
and you will see the device will be something like sdc
then type mount /dev/sdc1 hd
