Heya,

I installed RedHat8, and it's working alright. I haven't updated anything yet.
The first problem I want too solve is my HP CD-writer DVD combo 9900 not working.

I installed Linux with this drive so I don't know what its problem is. The cd-writer works ok in Windows

I insert a cd, try too mount, it starts reading the cd, then a few secs later my system freezes and the scroll and cap keys on my keyboard start flashing. The cd-writer keeps twirling. Then I have too reboot.


Any ideas what could be wrong? Where do I go to change CD-drive settings like dma and such.
