mount partially formatted drive


if I acidentally started to format a drive but I want to see what's still on it, how can I mount it. when I try it says the filesystem is always wrong.

Here's a link that has some hard disk forensic tools. http://www.hddrecovery.com.au/HDD_Press_2.htm

Here's some linux Live CD's w/ forensic tools (may be somewhat outdated):

Note I've never used any of these or tried to recover data like you are (just from an unbootable windows partition). Just what I from a quick google...

Its unlikely you will be able to mount a corrupted filesystem unless its corrected/repaired.
