mount ntsf drive


I'm trying to mount a ntfs drive on my fedora box. Its a large dive, 114487 MB its also ntfs. Each time I go to mount it I get this back.


[root@localhost a2782d4]# mount -t ntfs /dev/hda/ /mnt/C/
mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel
[root@localhost a2782d4]#


what am I doing worng lo-)

It means ntfs support ( read-only ) isn't in the kernel nor in a module loadable by the kernel. Recompile the kernel with ntfs support ( once again read-only since write support is quite dangerous at this state ).

Yes you have to load the support in the kernal
