I installed SuSE 9.1 a couple of weeks ago and lost my internal zip drive (IDE Iomega 250MB). I can probe my hardware list and Yast finds it as /dev/hdd .. without a number. In my Konqueror Drives section, there is no Zip drive option.

I tried to add the following line in /etc/fstab file

/dev/hdd /media/zip auto noauto,user 0,0

Definitely it didn't work. So, I tried the followings

(first column) /dev/hdd1, /dev/hdd2, /dev/hdd3, /dev/hdd4

(third column) vfat, msdos

NOTHING worked... I tried to add a device and it says "writing to the drive is not supported" .. PAIN IN MY *&^%.

Now, /media/zip has same permission as any other folder
drwxrwxrwx root root xxxxxxxx media

Did anyone face this issue before me?? Any help?????????????????
