Mount Cd Drive


How do i mount my cd drive on my madrakes 9 linux laptop?

It should mount automatically. If it doesn't use the following (as root):
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom
(if your CDROM is /dev/hdc, if not, use the right name)
or (as any user)
mount /mnt/cdrom
For the second option, you need something like
Code:
/dev/hdc         /mnt/cdrom       iso9660     noauto,owner,ro  0   0
in your /etc/fstab (you can edit the file as root).
