motherboards with midi port

Hello,
my vendor says that asus does not sell any recent motherboard that
has a midi port on it. Is this really true? I make a lot of threads
to achieve a reasonable solution to work with audio apps, and what
I think could be *the* solution, is evaporated :-)

Nowadays it seems that Midi ports are not on mainboards anymore. But I have seen a colleague of mine using a USB<->Midi converter.

The problem of course it find Linux compatible hardware. Mayby this link helps your any further.
