Motherboard not compatible?
I recently built a new sys to replace my 1.2g p.o.s. The mobo is a Shuttle AN35N Ultra. according to the manual the soundcard is a Realtek ALC650. Fedora sees it as that but won't drive it, MDK 9.2 says it a nvidia nforce2 audio controller, and will drive it works fine, but has a problem with the onboard nic. the mobo manual says the nic is a realtek 8201BL but MDK sees it as nforce2 mcp network adapter, during autodetection it says "Found nforce2 mcp networking adapter do you have another?" i check no and it says "No networking adapter found cannot configure the connection". same prob during manual config. and with fedora my nic isn't on the list so I think i'm screwed there. I also had alot of probs with the IDE controller on it which I won't get into since I found a way around it but it just adds to the list , should I just return this board or what? need opinons other than my own since it's got me steamed right now!
BTW: I've been using RH9/Fedora for a while now, and MDK 9.1/9.2 also (on the old machine) so I don't THINK it's me making dumb mistakes. If anyone else has had probs with these boards please let me know.
THANX
