motherboard and bios


Is there a commandline to find out the motherboard that is used on the laptop and the way to download the bios from its manufactorer. It is needed for my other oem non-standard netbook.

I like the lshw program. You can install it and then do
Code:
lshw >hardware-list
which will run the program and make a text file.
