Question Monitors that work on Linux/xf86

Hello LINUX Heads ,would any of you happen to know what type of LCD monitors would work on LINUX ,such as Suse 8.2~10.0 series???

Even a Vintage monitor of a 15" LCD variety would be adequate.

Iam sick of my old CRT uglies<bulky>.

adios ,chilibowl

Never heard about a monitor that is not linux-compatible, they should all work without problems.

As TobiSGD... Any SVGA or DVI monitor should work. Probably newer HDMI connect ones too I would suspect, though I've never tried the latter.

Play Bonny!

Some monitors may require an xorg.conf file to display at their native resolution, but that's an easy enough annoyance to work around.

The only issues I have ever had with monitors in linux is getting multiple monitors to work correctly. CRT and LCD monitor of all types don't interface with linux any differently, so they all work the same. As some others have mentioned, sometimes it is necessary to edit Xorg.conf file, in Ubuntu the display manger software works just fine (with one display that is, it can be shoddy with multiple displays).
