Monitor Refresh Rate on TTY

Hi!

Under Suse 9.2 I have the following problem: even though the graphics mode works fine, I won't get any picture when switching to tty1 for example.

The LCD panel says "unsupported frequency". With a regular CRT I found out, that the tty uses an _interlaced_ refresh rate (that still exists?!!? ;-).

How can I switch to a reasonable hfreq? How can I change the super tiny font size?

Thanks for helping!

Wolf

You could try changing the "vga=" entry in the lilo.conf or menu.lst file.

I use "vga=791" which is a 1024*786 size. You can enter a "vga=" entry when booting up to try it out first.
