Monitor problems -- arched top.

Hello! I just got myself a hyundai ImageQuest Q770 monitor. The problem is: at X running, the top of the screen is arched, and I see no way to correct it. It's a flat-cinescope CRT (Yeah, I know you don't know what I mean, It's sorta like LG's flatron...). Are there any speciall settings for xorg.conf to correct it? Thanks in advance. Oh, and it seems to be all fine at my friends windoes...

Easy way would be manually setting the hsync and vsync and refresh settings in your xorg.conf. You will probably have to look up the values which they should be set at though.

Not even remotely better. None. Still arched.

That did nothing? Not even change the geometry... weird.

Okay, how about changing the monitor type to a generic?

Of course the other option would be changing the monitor geometry via monitor settings to get around what is either an X issue or the monitor's own issue.
