I'm running SuSE 8.2, kernel 2.4.20-4GB. I selected moniter Hitachi CM751 which is my current moniter and now near the top of my screen, the lines start to get farther apart(only the last 5 or so lines). Any idea on what is causing this? I installed (unless I misread something) my vid card and my moniter correctly, GF4 Ti 4200, and as I mentioned before a hitachi cm751.
It's only under X. Could it be a refresh rate problem?
EDIT: I rebooted into windows (which doesn't have the dissolve effect) and my moniter always shows the sync rates whenever it switches (at the windows xp booting screen I get it but in windows itself it doesnt show up). I wrote them down then booted into SuSE and swiched to VESA at 1024x768 @75hz(same as windows) and I went to test it and it was fine. Where can I go to change the values under the hitachi settings, or is it fine under vesa?
