Modem Won't Hang Up
Just installed Red Hat 9... wow, is it nice. I can't believe how easy it was to install. Installed it when I got sick of re-installing Windows twice a year, and when my internet connection became unusable. I was not about to put up with Microsoft's shenanigans any more, so I made the move, and now I'm hooked
Anyway, I hooked up to the net no problem. But the modem never hangs up! Running Bluecurve, under Network Device Control, the "Hangup Timeout" is 600.
It's set for "Generic Modem"... maybe that's the problem. I tried to add a new entry, but it never gives me a choice for my particular modem ( A "Zoom" external 56K LT voice faxmodem).
Thanks for any help.
