Modem trouble after upgrade to FC3

Thanks for your time,

I just did an upgrade from RH9 to FC3 and everytin is running perfect except my modem, i cant find drivers for my kernel anywhere.

Its a Motorola SM56 Modem,

I found some drivers on www.sm56.tk
But no luck?

Any ideas?

RH 9 used the Linux 2.4 kernel and FC3 uses version 2.6, so the drivers will be different (not compatible).

I've seen modem refuse to complete a dial under Linux because the phone tone has been changed by the ansaphone (the Windows driver coped with this).

I couldn't see anything on the site that you linked to to say that the driver is maintained or upto date though (everything refers to 2.4 not 2.6), so you may want to e-mail the developers to find out whether it's FC3 compatible.

Yeah, it was a bit of a chance trying that driver, I put RH9 back on a diff partition for now anyway! (the driver i have to dat works perfect!)

So till i find one for FC3, i'll have to wait it out!
