I gather that you are running Slack 10 with a 2.6x kernel, but please provide specifics on modem. The issue may simply be that a particular kernel module needs to be loaded. -- J.W. |
creative labs modem blaster 56k
model number de5720 its a normal serial port one but i cant seem to locate why /dev/ttyS0 is not there? |
Fixed my problem!!!
in my kernel config 8250/16550 Serial port support was compiling as a module so i had to kernelise the module for it to work. lol silly me!!!!!!!!11 |
