Modem Mania
I have a HSP56 Micromodem and SuSE Linux 8.1, I have been informed that this is a winmodem. Is they a simple way of getting it to work on linux or will I have to resort to buying a new one (If so what modem are linux compatible?).

Having had a quick look at the extremely large (>620Kb) Modem List, I'm sorry to say that the majority of HSP56 modems appear to be either verified WinModems (software driven, that do not work under Linux) or currently unknown status. If I were you, I would spend a few bucks and get a nice serial modem - these are guaranteed to be Linux friendly.
