MODEM Lucent and Kernel Headers

OK. Here's the problem. I have a winmodem lucent wich works perfectly even under Linux. I got the source drivers and executing some commands it worked just fine (under Red Hat 6, 7.1). Now i've installed SUSE 7.2 and doing the same steps i've made before it did not work at all. The first thing to do is to execute a script "build_module", and it doesn't compile anything because "kernel headers could not be found". I believe that the headers are installed already, however it doesn't want to compile. Any suggestions? (to know if the headers are installed and how can i solve this mess...?)

the script should create a configure.log file file or somethign to provide more info. it's possible that you are not using the right location for the headers. if i remember correctly, kernel-header RPM's are actaully kinda outlawed now, and instead Linus insists you only ever have the headers from directly in the kernel source, in /usr/src/linux and then have your symlink from the include directory there to the old /lib/include/linux directory
