Modem Installation Procedure Mandrake- Pls help

Hi

I want to install a PCI modem (HSP56 Micromodem), in my Linux Mandrake10.1.

As i checked my hardware list using Harddrake, i give a subtitle "unknown device" and under that subtitle i get "HSP 56 MicroModem.

On the right side bottom i get the " module as unknown".

Please help to solve the problem.

You need this driver:

http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pcte...9-rht-6.tar.gz

The procedure is

tar xvzf pctel-0.9.7-9-rht-6.tar.gz
cd pctel-0.9.7-9-rht-6
sudo ./setup

You may need some programming support packages to be installed (gcc, make, kernel headers) if they are not already.

Hardrake is telling you here that it detects the device but you need a driver for it.
