modem in mepis


hello everyone

well i'm having problem with my modem in mepis, i have a BCM V.90 56K
com 3 in windows and when i try with lspci it's say that have the same modem.
but when i go to kppp and try to configure it it's say modem busy.
can some body help me?

any way thanks
