Modem and MIDI not working as regular user
 

Hi all !

I have two problems, they may have the same source :

1) MIDI works nice with my SBlive! card with ALSA drivers when I am logged as root, but when I log as regualr user, there's no sound. That's strange, because I can listen to MP3 without problems ... !

2) kppp works OK for dialling and connecting when I'm root, dut when I am logged as reg. user, it tells me "unable to open modem". But things are OK when I use pon !

Who could help me ?? Thanks a lot in advance !
