ModeLine not working

I've got a Matrox G400 and I used mgapdesk (Matrox's PowerDesk) to adjust the size and location of the image on my monitor. It generated the ModeLine in the Monitor section I've pasted below. However, when starting X it completely ignores this line.

Code:
Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Display 1"
        HorizSync 31.5 - 85.0
        VertRefresh 48.0 - 100.0
        ModeLine "1152x864@75Hz:0" 100.4 1152 1176 1304 1496 864 864 867 895 +hsync +vsync
EndSection
The X log file doesn't show any errors relating to the ModeLine. Is there something I have to do so that startx will look at that line?
