missing usb device files (sda1,...) in /etc

Hi
I cannot mount usb devices on my FC3 desktop Pc.
The problem seems due to the fact that I don't have sda* files in /dev directory.

Can you explain me how to recreate this sda* files?

I know there's a procedure, but I don't know it.

Bye
Enrico

Because FC3 uses udev, the udev daemon (udevd) automatically creates device nodes for you. The old makedev method is no longer applicable.

Ok, thanks.
But how can I use the udev daemon to recreate sda* devices?

There is no recreation. With udev, nodes are created at the time a device is plugged in for any recognized device.

Some people say the original FC3 udev is buggy for them - have you got the latest RPM?
