minimum system for RH 7.1
I would to find out what the minimum systen reqs. are for RH7.1.
I have a mobo with a P166 chip and nothing else. I have a few spare bits but I need to know the system required to run RH7.1 effectively and then I will build a system to suit.
Thank you

with no X - a p166 machine with 16MB/32MB of RAM will do for a small office router/proxy/mail server.
definitely, ur system will crawl if u wish to run X. but it still depends on the X setup that you make.
for the disk space requirements, check this link:

Until recently I was running RH7.1 w/ X (+ KDE) on a P166 at work. Performance was not that bad but I wasn't pushing it very hard either (mostly xterms, emacs, and xdvi). I upgraded it to RH8.0 and now I can honestly describe it as crawling.
