Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Minimum specs for Google Chrome in the cloud?

My old laptop has 2GB RAM, XFCE and Firefox. It works... but it's not pretty. I tend to be limited to 4-6 tabs in Firefox.

I only need to browse. Nothing else. I want to be able to run 20 tabs. What specs should I be looking at? Is it as simple as 8GB RAM and a SSD?

It gets worse. To hell with my data, to save space, costs and to give me the ability to connect from anywhere without censorship I'm thinking of running Brave Browser on a cloud provider VPS that only spins up when I get home from work. Maybe even gCloud or AWS.

I think it is as simple as more RAM. I don't know much as to which browsers are more lightweight than others, but sounds as if you've already decided to use a specific one.
