Mini-ITX
Hi, Im building a Mini-ITX project for my car, so I can play MP3's and no laggying around CD's! I was wondering if anyone knew of any Mini-ITX boards, types of memory, slim line hard drives or any other basic component that would be used to make a Mini-ITX Project that wasn't compatible with Linux (Debian)??
If anyone has any tips of ideas im open to suggestions. Thanks, Heartagram |
Take a look at www.mini-itx.com - all of the hardware supports linux - they have some links to guides and projects that you can take a look at.

There is also a forum on VIA Arena specifically for linux:
http://forums.viaarena.com/categories.cfm?catid=28 One controversial feature of the VIA mini-ITX boards is the hardware MPEG decoder which allows the low powered CPU to play DVDs under Windows. There was certainly some concern about whether there would be a linux driver for this feature. |
