Microsoft MN-520 with RH9

Hey everyone well I've read all the threads in the forum about this and tried what all of them have told me to do...

I added to the /etc/pcmcia/config the following lines under wireless..

card "Microsoft Wireless Notebook Adapter MN-520 1.0.3"

version "Microsoft", "Wireless Notebook Adapter MN-520", "", "1.0.3"

bind "orinoco_cs"

I even tried adding: manfid 0x02d2, 0x0001 to it and it still doesn't work.

I was told I should hear 2 identical beeps when i insert the card but instead I hear a single beep which has a lower tone.

i then checked the /var/log/messages and saw the following as the last entry:

Oct 3 01:43:30 localhost /etc/hotplug/net.agent: NET unregister event not supported
Oct 3 01:43:30 localhost cardmgr[2830]: executing: 'modprobe -r hermes'
Oct 3 01:43:38 localhost cardmgr[2830]: unsupported card in socket 1
Oct 3 01:43:38 localhost cardmgr[2830]: product info: "Microsoft", "Wireless Notebook Adapter MN-520", "", "1.0.3"
Oct 3 01:43:38 localhost cardmgr[2830]: manfid: 0x02d2, 0x0001 function: 6 (network)

Well everyone says these microsoft cards work and I've done everything and still have had no progress.

And yes I checked the network settings and the card is assigned to eth1 and all my settings are set.

If someone can give me some guidance on the problem that would be great thanks
