Microphone not working with A7V8X-X mobo w/ onboard sound
 

Stupid posting URL restriction. I had a nice link to the thread included, but I guess we'll have to do it the hard way...

After reading thread #137883, I've gotten the basic output functions of the sound card to work. After many false starts (older OSS drivers, older ALSA drivers, disconnected cables, cables in the wrong place, etc). But, I'm running into issues with the microphone not working. I've verified that it is a good microphone.

Current software versions:

ALSA 1.0.4
Kernel 2.6.5
Gnomemeeting 1.0.2
Mandrake 10.0

I'm using KDE as the window manager.

I can play an audio CD correctly. But, I need to be able to use the sound card for Gnomemeeting.
