Microphone ?

Will my Microphone Work in linux ?

It's a Regular Stage mic, I need it to record some Songs.

also what programs in linux can do the things Cool Edit Pro, and ACID do ?

Moving to Linux - Hardware

I don't see any reason why a mic wouldn't work, I think the problem would lie in getting the sound card to function, not the mic itself.

ACID, I don't suppose you mean the Snort tool

If those applications are audio editors, check out www.freshmeat.net for audio editor

Cool Edit Pro is nice, I have in on my Windows box. You could also check the program list at www.linux.org
