Microcode MCE Error? Linux freezes

My system setup is as follows:

- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900F CPU @ 2.80GHz 10th generation
- MB: Gigabyte B560M AORUS ELITE
- MEM: Kingston 32GB HyperX Fury
- GFX: Gigabyte 1050 TI OC
- M.2: WDS500G3X0C-00SJG0 500GB
. Sata WDC WD30PURZ-85GU6Y0 3TB
- PSU: PowerCooler 800W (Real)

The thing is that linux crashes:
- Im talking about Fedora 34 which crashes and i cannot move mouse, NUMLOCK doesn't respond.
- Ubuntu 21.04 runs better, but it crashes randomly.

Searching and investigating i don't know if the microcode istalled is good. I do a:

Code:
sudo dmesg | grep microcode
And throws me:
Code:
[ 0.000000] microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0xec, date = 2021-03-08
[ 0.225028] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:a0655 TIME 1625145700 SOCKET 0 APIC 0 microcode ec
[ 4.494523] microcode: sig=0xa0655, pf=0x2, revision=0xec
[ 4.494917] microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.2.
The computer is brand new, i have tested various DDR4 mem modules, but the same. The CPU doesn't include IGFX (the model is F).

I have downloaded and installing "intel-microcode" from APT, but the same.

My question is: that kernel error is becouse linux doesn't support yet the hardware or do i a have a crashed/buggy hardware?

Windows is just working fine.

here you can download the latest microcode, as I see your CPU is supported.

Mmm.. no luck, i updated the microcode as the github readme says and still the same error. Anyway im writing this from Ubuntu and still doesn't hung. I don't know if it is a motherboard error cos windows had told me in a DialogBox "memory cannot be written" sometimes when i restart or shutdown Windows.

I hope my motherboard it is not broken.

Thanks for the help.

is it overclocked? For me it looks like a hw related error, not microcode (or linux). anyway, if you need help please pick one distro an try to make that work. We cannot solve general issues like "I always have errors".

Thanks god. When Ubuntu booted up it started to show me "pci express errors".
The error was in the wifi card. You were right pan64 it was a hw error. I replaced the wifi module and everything is ok now.
I have been testing ubuntu for 5 days and no error.

Problem solved.
