mfc7340 and hp psc 1315 not work(print) under ubuntu11.04
 

Dear Linux printer programers:

I have brother mfc 7340 laser printer(black and white). Although it was recognize by my ubuntu linux 11.04, it can be print
first time I type lpr somefile
then lpq
can show it there
then second time lpq
it disappear and nothing print it out

I also have hp psc 1315 all in one deskjet(color)
it ever print out all page light-green, it consume my ink fast(now I am out of ink of color)
how can I fix it? if not, at least swith to black and white mode.

The Brother printer is supported with a Brother Linux driver. Do you have Cups and the driver installed? You access cups with any web browser, and http://localhost:631 in the location bar.

Right now Linuxprinting.org is unavailable. Been like that for a couple of days. HP printers are well supported, I'd check there to see what driver they recommend, make sure that is what is installed and configured.
