MEPIS and USB
I recently bought the MEPIS version of linux to install in some test computers. I have programs that I would like to install on these computers, but the files are all in windows .exe format and I can't figure out if there is a way to convert these. Could anyone be of assistance?
Also, I bought an IDE to USB converter for a 40GB hard drive. When I connect it to my computer running XP, it works fine. When I connect it to the computers running MEPIS, it isn't even detected. The converter came with drivers, but the device was made for Windows or Mac. Is there any way to use these drivers, or are there other programs I could use? Would the drive have to be mounted? I put in a regular USB drive and it detected it right away. The drive also has Windows XP installed on it. (These are older computers, running 400MHz CPU's and 392MB RAM or less if that matters.)
EDIT: Disregard. New topic posted to clarify.
